Part 1. Using the site
1.1 Who we are
These terms are between you and The Ecom Awards (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@theecomawards.com.
1.2 Using the site
You can browse the site and the Showcase for free. Please don’t misuse it: no scraping at scale, no attempts to break or overload it, no spam, and nothing unlawful.
1.3 Accounts
Accounts are free. Keep your password safe and your details accurate. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
1.4 What you submit
When you submit a store, a project or other content, you confirm that you’re allowed to share it and that it’s accurate. You keep ownership of it. You give us permission to show it on the site, in the Showcase and in our own promotion of The Ecom Awards. We may edit it for length and clarity, and we decide what is featured. We can remove content at any time.
1.5 Stores, names and trade marks
The Showcase shows screenshots of public websites, and names and logos that belong to their owners. Showing them doesn’t mean the owner endorses us. If you own a page and want it changed or removed, claim it or email us.
1.6 Claiming a page
You can claim a store or agency page if you work there. We check this with an email to the business’s own domain, and an editor approves the claim. Claiming is free.
1.7 Featured isn’t won
“Featured” means our editors recommend a store. It isn’t an award. Only entries judged in the awards can be shortlisted or win. The Featured badge may only be used for pages we’ve featured, and we may ask you to remove it if a page is taken down.
1.8 Contacting agencies
When you contact an agency through the site, we pass your message to them. Any work you agree is between you and the agency. We don’t take a commission from either side.
1.9 Links and other sites
We link to other websites. We’re not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
1.10 Our responsibility
We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will always be either. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t be limited by law.
1.11 Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy notice.
1.12 Changes and law
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date below when we do. Governing law and jurisdiction: [to be confirmed].
Part 2. Awards entry terms
2.1 Who can enter
Ecommerce brands, agencies and freelancers anywhere in the world. Work must be on a live online store and must have been live or delivered in the 12 months before entries close. Agencies need their client’s permission to enter work done for them.
2.2 Connected businesses
Businesses connected to the organisers can be featured in the Showcase but can’t win an award.
2.3 Fees
You pay one fee per category entered, at the price shown when you check out. Prices are shown ex VAT, and VAT is added where it applies. Your fourth entry is free. There are no other fees: nothing to be shortlisted, to win, or to use the winner logo.
2.4 What every entry includes
- Written feedback from at least two judges.
- A digital “Judged & Verified” badge if your entry is shortlisted or wins.
- Use of the winner logo with no licence fee, if you win.
- A trophy for each winner.
2.5 Refunds and withdrawals
[To be confirmed.]
2.6 Judging
At least two judges score each entry against the published rubric. Judges declare conflicts and skip entries they’re connected to. Sponsors take no part in judging. The panel’s decisions are final, and a category can have no winner.
2.7 Honest entries
Everything in your entry must be true. Results you report are shown as “reported by entrant” unless judges verify your evidence. We may disqualify an entry, or withdraw an award, if we find it was misleading. Fees for disqualified entries: [to be confirmed].
2.8 Publishing entries
We publish the names of shortlisted entries and winners, and may show parts of entries in the Showcase and in our promotion. Before you submit, we’ll tell you which parts of your entry may be published.
2.9 Using the winner logo
Winners and shortlisted entrants may use the matching logo or badge to show the result, for the category and edition they achieved it in. Please don’t alter it or use it to suggest a result you didn’t get.
2.10 Changes to the programme
We may need to change dates, categories or the format. If a change materially affects your entry, we’ll tell you and explain your options.
Draft prepared September 2026. Not yet in force.
